Well… what a year it’s been. During 2020 the UK retail industry has undoubtedly experienced some catastrophic losses as a result of the pandemic. However, we’ve seen both the nation and retailers pull together and face adversity head-on to get through the year together - bravo.
Because of this, we’ve also experienced the biggest shift in consumer behaviour at scale to date and consequently seen brands remain agile and adapt to these changes. We know it hasn’t been easy and there’s a while to go until we are back to any ‘normality’, but the strength we’ve seen across the retail industry has shone through during this turbulent time.
At Critizr, we want to say a massive thank you to every person, team, manager, volunteer and weekend worker who have all pulled together and put their own health and safety at risk for the good of their communities and the wider population. As the saying goes, not all heroes wear capes - you are all phenomenal and are true Critizr heroes. Thank you again.
If this year has taught us anything, it’s that we should never take those special human connections for granted. That C-word, ‘Connection’ has become more important than ever over the past year. Staying connected is the foundation on which we can maintain strong relationships, build supportive communities and lead caring organisations.
By putting customers as your top priority in 2020, you’ve shown your dedication to staying connected to the public during a time when many people felt disconnected from each other. You’ve consequently led the conversation when it comes to delivering the best possible experiences during challenging times.
As we approach 2021, let’s focus on the ‘C-word’s’ that really matter the most. Let’s stay Connected, let’s continue to Care for one another, let’s create a Culture of Conversations and remain Customer-obsessed by placing Customers at the heart of everything we do.
